Ah, apricots! A delightful and underappreciated color. Who knew that such a sweet hue could be applied to our furry friends? While many of us are familiar with the adorable: golden retriever, labradors, and pugs that come in shades of gold - apricot is not always as common.

Fortunately for those who do not want to settle for ordinary hues when selecting their canine companion - there are options!

Here are some beautiful and popular dog breeds that can come in an apricot shade:

  • Cocker Spaniel – The American Cocker Spaniel has been known to have coats of varying colors depending on its lineage; including solid colors such as black, buff, or brown and even combination colors like Parti-color which can include an attractive blend of apricot and white.
  • Bulldog – Though Bulldogs often have coats in variations of brindle (a reddish-brown pattern), they also will come in shades from cream to light fawn with occasional red markings all over the body - including heads more often than most other breeds.
  • Poodle – What’s better than one pup with a strikingly unique coat? Three pups sporting coveted rainbow shades at once! While you cannot guarantee any specific combinations within multi-colored litters born from sires/dams with distinct color genes, families commonly get apriums (the merging of both apricot & silver) among their puppies each generation too so you may potentially be able to take home your own little sunburst soon enough if you choose this breed!
  • Maltese – These fluffy cuties also have coats that range from white to cream and sometimes ivory/apricot tones naturally found on the feet/legs or snout area due to admixture genetics passed down through generations by their predecessors long before them...making them absolutely charming companions no matter how rare they might look otherwise outside what is considered “standard” coloring within society today but still perfectly acceptable among shih tzu fanatics everywhere whether show dogs or pet owners alike now being celebrated around us day here too near future ahead then wow.
